To Fellow Boss Fans:

Below is my Montreal concert story that explains how these pictures came to be.

On Saturday morning, my friend Don and I took a walk to the Bell centre from our hotel on Sherbrooke Street. We didn't know Montreal, so we walked down to find out where it was. At the Bell Centre they were unloading Bruce's gear that just arrived from Ottawa. I spoke to a driver that had been hauling since the Sacramento show. I asked him when does the band do a sound check and he said between 2-3 PM. I asked him if the band would enter through these doors and he said they usually do.

Don and I returned about 1:30 PM and hung around the back loading doors. Around 3 pm, Nils and Danny arrived in a Lincoln. We could plainly see them in the vehicle, and then they got out inside the Bell Centre. (interestingly, Nils took two guitars out of the trunk, guess he didn't want those babies hauled in the truck!) Over the next two hours, Stevie, Suzie, Roy, Garry, Max all arrived in vans. We could plainly see them in the vehicles. (we didn't see Patti or Clarence) Unfortunately, the pictures I snapped of the vehicles didn't come out due to the darkness. (as you can see from the pictures, it was kind of like being in a tunnel) At this time there were about 20 people standing there with us. (a small crowd I thought) At 5:30 PM sharp, Bruce arrived. HE GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE, CAME BACK TO US AND SIGNED AUTOGRAPHS AND SHOOK OUR HANDS. This is when I snapped these pics!

I have been a fan for over 20 years, but this was my first live show! We actually got to shake his hand, get his autograph, and take his picture! Don and I were on a high for 48 hours! It just added to the excitement of the show later that night!
